Campfires are signals. Beacons. Visible proof of community life.

Campfires tell a story. From miles away, people see a signal. People are gathering here. Something's happening. This place matters. Your pop community should do the same.

While you're building for your members, don't forget the people watching from a distance. The curious ones. The almost-ready ones. The ones trying to decide if they belong. They need to see your campfire.

Too many communities make the same mistake. They spend months creating materials about what they'll do. Then they do it behind closed doors where no one can see. Let outsiders glimpse the warmth.

Share schedules openly. Post participant lists with permission. Release photos that capture the energy. Document genuine moments. The best campfires aren't just signals. They spread your community energy.

As new interested people approach, make sure they can fit around the fire. Save some room. Give them a hearty welcome. Show others how to do the same. Demonstrate how to welcome the first few right people into this space.

Fires don't need to spread to be successful. They simply need to attract. It's the people already around the fire that build second and third-order connections.

There's always room for one more.
